Artisan Pottery | Homemade unique pottery from one Mama to another

Description

I am a hobby potter, self-taught started in Oct 2019 , located in Cincinnati. I go by Pottery Mama, my logo is a large circle with 2 smaller circles that represents me and my two young girls. I started wheel throwing in my garage after having my second daughter, just as a way to “re-center” myself. So being busy with 2 small kids and a full-time job, I had little to no time to join a class, therefore I got myself a wheel and cleared space in my garage to teach myself. The only time I could find was late at night after my girls went to bed, in a cold garage with a small heater at my feet, a bag of clay that I would re-use over and over, just listening to podcasts and watching YouTube videos about pottery.

“The clay tells me what it wants to become”
I enjoy making different style mugs and wondering who would like this shape or what color would look best. I try to make each mug unique with it’s own personality! I strongly believe that each piece of pottery is destined for that right person, a handle will fit just right or a glaze color will capture someone’s attention, it was meant to be!

I take pride in knowing my pottery is in someone’s kitchen and they love it so much that it has become their favorite mug/piece. I enjoy hearing from customers about how much they love their new mug. It becomes more than a mug to them, it’s a memory of that craft fair or market and how they felt when they came across that piece of pottery.
